Had one, seemed to be o.k. They overheat if your hard on them and the diffs bend and springs break if you slide them into logs at 80k.

Well now to be fair, Jeepmog's "Jeep" isn't really a "Jeep" anymore is it? seems like most of the important bits have been.....ummm..upgraded?

In that year the auto is actually better than the standard.
Just make sure there is no sign or smell of burnt tranny fluid. The only way you could kill that tranny was to overheat it while towing.
Body looks good in the pics.
Depending on milage and conidtion it would typically sell for $3,000 to $4,000

One impartant thing to check is to make sure the engine isn;t blowing oil back into the air filter through the crank case vent. A small amount of clean oil can just mean a clogged CCV, but a lot of oil or milky oil means problems.

I think that the suzuki and toyota owners are the only ones that I can insult anymore. I used too many Chevy and Ford parts in my Jeep buildup to insult them.:D

Yes, cherokees have more cooling issues than YJs.
If it doesn't already have both a clutch fan and an electric fan then grab an electric from a wrecker.
Adding a rear facing hood scoop over the manifolds helps a lot as well. It gives the hot air a path out of the engine bay.

I had a 91 for years never had a problem over heating.People that know me know the Jeep it had 7"of lift and went anywhere. As for the trany its a aw4 [Asian warner trany]a Toyota trany.Awesome Trany pretty much bomb proof. If if does over heat in the bush when crawling you can put in the optional a/c fan that mounts in the stock position. That is if that thing does not already have A/C.Just wire it to a two way switch on the dash.

Hope that helps...[3]

Ya, I dunno how you guys afford to drive jeeps with all those parts and repairs you gotta keep paying for[f]

I can hardly afford to drive my Toy and I almost never have to buy parts for it -- I can't imagine what it would be like having to buy stuff to fix it every weeeknd[22]
