i have an 86 jimmy with a 5" lift, i want to flip the shackles in the rear as well as getting longer shackles in the front. if i do this will i have to change the angle of the diffs?

In the rear it will probally help the angle a bit ,in the front I would be careful cause you will gain caster and worsen the diff angle but just measure everything before and make sure its not to crazy especially if you street it alot.

If you lift the front with just shackles your pinion angle and your Caster will be way wrong! With longer shackles your steering will go to crap as well, the shackles will actually flex and absorb some of the steering. Best thing to do is weld in a front cross brace and drop down the front hangers as much (if not a bit more) as the shackle. I wouldn't try to gain more than 2-3"s in the front with this type of lift. The shackle flip is a good lift cuz it makes your pinion angle better.

thanks for the info, it will be on the street quite a bit. if i drop down the front hangers will it mess up my caster and pinion angle too.
