I have had air lockers front and back in Ford now for years. I would NOT put them in again. There great when they work but will fail you when you need them the most. I have a few stories of when that happened to me. As a matter of fact my front right now is not working and the back gave out just the other month Again!!

The biggest problem with them is the O-rings inside the diff. and I dont trust anything that is powered by air. Too many things to go wrong

For my money I would go Detroit Locker. I also like they way it handles on the street and the look you get from people with the Detroit unwinds.... BANG I've seen people jump [36]

Well guys this has helped me a great deal ..[1b]

Harry, I'm sorry bro but I will have to cancel our next 4x4 instruction appointment . seems like i'd be breaking down sooner if we continued no matter what i had. but the air locks did last some time ill give u that.(ok maybe one more lesson)

boyzen & 78f150, figure i should just trade down and get a Ford.

In The Zone, figures i should just give him the money to buy some for his own...

MMMMM what to do ... i think there's 1 possitve note in there somewhere, but i do like the concept, willing to spend the coin, i guess untill i try them ill never know for sure.. thanx my bros for your honest and welcome opinions [h]

If you have the 35C rear axle you really should truss it before putting an ARB in it. They are very sensitive to axle tube flex.

Arbs are great as you have the best of both worlds -open when you want it and locked when you want it !

There are many running them -I prefere the detroits and would run them ! Less things to fail !

OX lockers.

Team Halo.
you only see black and white. trouble is that there is a grey area. that's where most people live.

Detroits are the way to go.
Mine have yet to let me down and they are easy to install (if you've got the tools and some smarts)

[!]Lockrites. How do you blow up 2 of these in 2 months with 80HP Sidekick?

I wouldn't go to EZB, I hear he's [35]

ez-locks are not worth a pinch with anything over a 33.Or any of those baby lockers.

I've been running ARB"s front and back for years with no problems.
