I remember some one posting about putting a diesel in their suzuki but cant remember who? Just picked up a 90 and would like to make a swap from gas to diesel . Anyone in the know about this type of thing? Such as what engines they have swapped and for what reasons ? What trannys used if not factory sammy?[36]

tuner has a vw desiel progect going on now. I have a toy 2.4 that's mounted in one but not done yet. I also have a mec. desiel 240 with an auto 4 speed ready to go into my lj. The toy desiel is heavier than the vw, but you can use all stock toy parts and don't have to shell out the big bucks for a kit.

the best way is to get a 1.6 td, buy the kit from acme.
very simple, very drivable.
it'll use your current tranny.

the zuk diesel is not availble in north america.

zuk: being prepared for total tear down. yota's 5.29's arb's.
ford: it drives.

I think Tuner's Project is on a Kick/Tracker not a Sami. But the thread and details are posted somewhere here, Mike.

Are we havin' fun yet?!?!

don't matter. acme sells the kits for either.

with both kits the best tire size is a 33 with stock gears, when the calculations are done both are very close.
