just bought a 95 f-150, and the rear pinion is leaking, and i got a few questions.

what's the torque for the nut on the flange?
what rear end is this? i think it's a 8.8.. but i dunno

It should be an 8.8

If so then:

Drive pinion nut minimum torque 160 ft/lbs
Drive pinion rotation preload (used bearings) 8 - 14 in/lbs
Pinion shaft lock bolt (using loctite or equivalent) 15 - 30 ft/lbs

from the spec page of the Haynes manual:D

Hope this helps.

you got it Punk. I just did. Now to find the funds for the locker.

I replaced my seal a while back on my 8.8 and I just counted the threads.

The money pit rolls again.
