how well will a welded 7.5" ford rear end hold up? im running some 29" road tires(would only run these on the 7.5/d28), and dont have the money, and dont want to change the tires or diffs until i have the coin to spend on what i want, a dana 44/9" and some 35-37's, otherwise it seems like a waste of time/money. any opinions on if it will hold up or not?

thanks

go for it the d28 is a piece either way
this way u will get your d44 sooner..

a d35 is a direct bolt in though (ithink) and for a bII it would work on 33"s
aBII on 37"s i would like to see...

Mine is getting 6"suspension and 33"s
going to stick with the ttb though.

It' a FORD need I say More.....It drinks lots of Gas,Chews Tire's and eat's BUSH

Locked and sittin on 36"tsl SuperSwampers

35s???the 7.5 wont hold up to 32s.....open!with 29s it should be ok,but i wouldnt make any long term plans for it.i've destroyed lots of those 7.5s in my time.most i didnt have to push too hard.

i dont need people to get me,i just need people to get out of my way

the only problems i have had in three years with my 7.5 in my b-2 with a 302 and 35x14.5 ground hawgs on it was i stripped the crown gear and those gears were 3.45s but now front universals thats another story oh ya im running a lock right posi unit out of a 86 aerostar (just the carrier i used it was a strait bolt in for 100 to 150)and im still running the same diff butt now with 3.73s ann welded the dana 28 with 33x12.5 with the 302 auto c-5 tranny and so far so good
