Hello...I know this should be in the wanted section, but who reads that section anyways?...I need to get hooked up with a welder...
MIG 220V at least 200A single phase Miller or Lincoln.
5-15 years old...older is generally better...
Will pay good money for a good older welder....
Thanks....

Plus you probably don't need a 200A or bigger if you do you should just by a stick welder.

I like my migs better....
Especially older ones..they tend to have better arcing characteristics..
I figured that if people saw this, someone could hook me up...
I am having a hell of a time...and I will pay decent money for one too....[:0]

Hey Ann

Try PMing Kevin. He has a good portable welder that he uses on occasion. I'm not sure what kind it is, but he could tell you.

I looked for a few years for a welder matching that description
finally just ponied up and bought a new Miller 251 from Praxair rep in Abbotsford
he beat KMS pricing and then even delivered it to my home

KMS is only $2100 for a 251 last I was in there
if you want to test run my welder on a small day project or 2 to get a feel for it let me know
now that I have the welder I dream about a nice plasma cutter, or a nice cold saw, or a horizontal bandsaw, or ...

never ends

Like 150 says you are gonna have to bite the bullet. think of it as an investment .

well if they were around for less I would have gone that route
rare as hen's teeth
once you get into the 200amp 220v range no one is gonna want to sell as there is no upgrade unless you go 3 phase power
it is a huge hit but I am not in the least bit unhappy with biting the bullet
tax refund time and this is a good thing to spend it on if you wanna play trucks

I agree with you...I knew having a 4x4 would be a bit of money, but the biggest thing (if you have a "custom suspension" is the bloody welder!!!! I should have known....I will probably have to go your route....:( It's just frickin' expensive....quote:Originally posted by m j

Hey!
I see a Hobart 220 welder at a garage sale in the paper, says works good, lists a price too even though its a garage sale ad LOL $100

I have no idea about welders or how to weld so I have no idea if this is what your looking for.

It's in chilliwack, if you want more info, email me and I'll see if I can get my scanner working to scan the ad.

EDIT: My email is redwingfan_number19@shaw.ca

I think you might have misunderstood that,
the welder is advertised at a garage sale in the paper, I don't have it as I have no idea how to weld its useless to me.
if anyone wants the address to go look tomorrow or whatever, email me
