Yep, i think i need to turn that box frame into a c channel! It just doesnt flex :(, but with the newer tires im at least able to get up onto things now!! Or chew holes with the low sided tires [^]. It was a great day, i think i should put my muffler on tonight and if someone knows where i can get a driver side mirror......

When you say C channel the frame you dont mean you wanna remove that inside tin do you? If that is what you ment DONT DO IT!!! My passanger side frame rail (inside tin) was rotton to the point of being gone from the passanger mirror to where it ramps up over the rear wheels. As a result it was cracking the heavy outside C Rail right where the front spring hanger is on the rear. I cut out what remained of the inside tin, and welded in new steel 4" high and 1/8th in thick in its place. Ever since no more cracks.

Do you not have the rear diff locked in one fasion or another? I know it sounds bad to weld the rear diff, but honestly it isnt that bad. Currently I have a Detroit in my back one. But am thinking of welding the rear and putting the Detroit up front. I am running 35x16 TSL Super Swampers and so is a friend of mine on a welded rear diff. No hassels nothing. If your looking to climb up on stuff a locker of sorts helps out BIG TIME. Also being locked up cuts down on axil wrap. If your truck is anything like how mine was, axil wrap was horrible.

Nahh, i wouldnt do it, its just my way of razzin Shawn because we all know where his insane flex comes from!!! As well as the cracked cab and box seams. I could do a million things to make my truck better but it takes $, i could do it but you'd never see me on the trails because i'd be unable to afford to go out. It gets me there AND home so i cant complain, in some cases it does certain things easier than more modified trucks. It does need to be locked in the rear, thats for sure. My frame was screwed so i had it redone from the cab back, its nice and tight now.

Well if you ever need a shortbox frame you let me know. I can get a hold of a PERFECT one. Hell I almost bought it for myself. But I am planning to get a 95' 4Runner soon. I am gonna probably sell my truck or maybe part it out. **It pains me to think one day it will be gone**

Once this old truck is done im buying a newer one..... I think. Ilike older trucks but i would enjoy the creature comforts of a newer model. I'll just buy something that i can swap a toy solid axle into. I should be driving this one for a while, im expecting another 5 years at least. You make sure to let me know before you part it out!!! Regardless, i think you should do your vi thing and hang onto it for a while.
