id like to run 529, i can get it for the back, but the closest i can get for the front is 513 what do ya think id be askin for trouble

Maybe not if you stick to the mud, ohterwise i think it may be a bit of a problem, especially in high traction situations. Sounds like you kept the toy rear.

yes thats probally a bit much except in loose stuff or slippery stuff , might work sweet in the mud though cause the front would pull harder than the rear..

or just go with odd size tires. Driving that on the road would destrroy your tcase. For years chevs came with 4:09 and 4:10, I thing those were the numbers, without any problems. Why not go 5:13, still a very respectable gear for your tire.

go to a 488 they make it for toys and fords i heared and chevs good luck should have keeped my tacoma and did that now just got small block 4 runner.but it does the job nicely.

Theres only one way to get a gear ratio ------number of teeth on the ring gear and number on the pinion gear ,,, and the way the manufacturers refer to them ! 4:10 and 4:09 are the same as far as I thought ---maybe someone could show me different ----Thanks --Bruce

yes kind of but the 4:10 will turn the drive 410 times with the tires turning 100 times and the 4:09 diff will spin once less and if you figure your running 2000rpm in 2nd (toyota 5speed 2.141) the drive turns 900.1rpm therefore 9 extra rotations.... and this works but the diff from 5:29 to 5:13 dirt roads could be a bad thing and as far as streets in winter stay away from the black spots[:o)](tired must camp.... dont take this as fact but just an idea)
