Im loking at a auto 92 zuki for my girl friend the guy selling it said that if you dont let it warm up in the morning it has trouble going into gear but then it will be fine all day after you let it warm up. he said this is a comon problem with the auto transmissions on this model and it will not break down.

Any one ever heard of this problem?

it sounds to me that one of the lip seals in the trans is worn and bypasses until its hot. it shouldn't be a major deal to replace the lip seals in the trans but if you leave it too long you will burn the clutch disks due to pressure loss in the clutch packs. If it was mine i would get the tranny rebuilt.

rebuilt? it's cheaper to get a new one. the zuki trannies are almost bullit proof, well the auto's are, so they're a dime a dozen.

Yeah that's the point , you buy the truck with the manual and the 5.13's already there, saves time and $$$....
