Looking for anyone that wants to hit the hills up around Kelowna the weekend of April 3-4. 81' Toy, 9" lift, 35" Muds, Bull Bollz... So far there is just the two trucks (the other is a stock 82' Toy), but hoping to hook up with some veterans of the area to show us some new trails. Hopefully whats left of the snow should make for an interesting outting.

Any takers?

BTW: I have shotgun seat available if anyone's rig is down.

where are u at sj-x? i can probly show u the way up if u know how to get to the airport.

i was just up there 2night. there still is SOME snow, but a bunch is all melted. it was also dark so i couldn't see much with only headlights, but the center is getting all covered in water, and just out infront of the firepit is nice.

we got our buddies 2X4 stuck in there, got a few pics. and a lil carnage too :D

Do you know when your heading into Kelowna right before the airport’s airfield there is a road that heads off to the left from the highway. It is called old the Vernon Highway. (There are like 2 or 3 old grounded planes you can see in the airfield where you need to turn left.) Specifically there is a Propane thing right there when you turn left. I can meet you there. The bog is maybe a 5-10 min drive from there. I am thinking of heading up at 11-12… (don’t forget tonight is a time change)

Any problems let me know…

There are FIVE (count'em 5) U.S. Navy Convairs fresh from the deserts of Arizona waiting to be turned into 'air tankers' (via Kelowna Flightcraft) in order to save 'interface homes' this summer.

don't get me goin'.

To the average joe, aka ME. All I see is some old aircraft that have been sitting there at least the 2 years I have lived in Kelowna. But that is besides the point. I don't mean to "get anyone going" I was mearly using them as a landmark.

kelowna flightcraft dosn't do tankers (they do own some convair tankers) they mainly stretch convairs for cargo use and refurbish boeing 727's

i worked thier a couple years ago on the t-33 fighters for bolivia still have friends that do work thier (in the paint dept.)

i'd go but i'm goin hiking an my truck still ain't dun

They do. They actually gut the convairs and strip it down to it's barest minimum, then they bolt on a tank under the belly. Dam thing looks about 10 months pregnant.
