Attn Hardcore nuts

The line in the sand has been drawn on the 4 to 1 trail!!! Rich and his Suzki has made it up the farthest and there is a line drawn for everyone else to be judged!

He said that he could have gone further with his Spotter Paul so there is room to further the line.

This challenge is for modified trucks only. This is what you built it for and now is the time to get it out and use it!

The difficultly level increases the higher up you go. Look for the pictures posted in the forum.

Minimum requirement for this challenge:

Lockers front and back winch tow hooks a spotter you trust A roll cage would be a plus as well -- more to be added later

No beer for anyone before they attempt the run. You will need a clear head and a good spotter.

Date to be set!

Hey these are just guide lines. I wonder if I should just leave it at any built 4x4 and it's up to you. But you might wish you had one when your at the top and need to turn around unless you are fearless like Rich.

What do you think Rich min requirements? You made it up the farthest

Just remember if you have a weak link in your truck this trail will find it!!!

Don't get me wrong this trail is a hell of a lot of fun and if your truck is set up it will be a good challenge for you.

I was looking at some bc gov maps and it looks like there might be an old road that crosses it further up....that would be sweet if it were a loop! Next time out I'll get some GPS coordinates and double check the maps.

Harry White poopy. I would definatly put up vehicle requirments, or else you are going to get guys broken and stuck on the trail, holding up others.

Just a thought. (Not telling you what to do)

When I walked up the trail I could see the clear cut up above. If the roads connect it would make this the best trail around. Ok I smell a road trip to scout it out!![41]

Your right Whizzy there should be a min (for this event) This trail will bite I was thinking when people see it they will know if their truck could do it or not. It would crazy to take a truck up as far as Rich ( and turn it around) if you were not built for it. I wish I took more pictures of the harder spots of the trail.

Hey does anyone remember that tree vine thing that was growing on the side of the trail? I haven't seen anything like it. Someone took a clipping home. Did you find out what it was?

That would be the one...it looks like it angles about 30 degrees off of the main FSR, goes a bit beyond the creek bed and dead ends.

I've seen it before, i believe its a true moss, or a liverwort....just from the blurry memory of what it looks like. Anyone take a pic of it?

That's funny, Paul and I were just talking about hiking the remainder of the trail to see if it comes out somewhere.... If it did that would be perfect !!![8D]

Minimum requirments; I would say definatley lockers front and rear, tow points front and rear, and a winch if you want to go past were I did. The spotter is a good idea (especially for turning around...if you need to) and low gears would be a huge plus. The trail is steep all the way up and looks to only get steeper. There are a few off camber and loose sections, so good tires aired down would be a good idea too. Other than that, if you know your truck and want to run a good trail, let's go.....[3] Who can get past me ???[:p]

Hey Kev, that was my friend Kris who took that vine home. I'll try and talk to him tomorrow and see if he found anything out... He may had been a little inebriated ???[51][1b]

Hey Rich, without my geared t-case in is it possible? Or am i just going to loose another clutch?

It's possible, but you'll definatley work the clutch a bit. You could do the treed section (4 to 1) and probably a bit of the Creekside Crawl but to get past me you'll want your case in.
