View Full Version : Locker woes...
Having some Lock-rite issues in the rear of my sammy. It's around 2 years olds and it's making some odd noises when I'm accelerating. It's not the regular ratcheting sound, it almost sounds like one side is slipping. More gas = faster noise. This is my first locker so I have no idea what happens when the start to get older/worn out. Any tips would be great.

Sounds like it's fu(ked. Next time go Detroit. They don't wear out or break.
Okay I've ripped it appart and the tube that keeps the crosspins in has come loose and is spinning around. It can slide up far enough to let the crosspins slide out. Anyone know the correct way to install the tube so it stays pu? The shop that set up the gears for me used an center punch a bunch of time to keep it place.

sounds like you need to go get a new roll pin that is big enough to stop it from moving.
