Peice "O" cake. Once the axle is out it shouldn't take more than a couple minutes. The hard part is cracking the nuts loose. This is in a d44 right?

better have someone who has done this on hand
have you had your spindles off? did you never sieze the spindle mount on reassembly?
that can be an hours beatfest to get off on most axles

I've got the thread on adapter and slide hammer for pulling the spindles, works awesome! A lead hammer and pry bar works well too, and doesn't wreck the threads. If you have access to an air hammer, they work great for popping the knuckle (ball joints) out of the axle. When I worked at a Ford dealer, we did so many ball joints/axle joints I bought my own slide hammer/spindle adapter, air hammer/chisle, and ball joint press and could do 4 ball joints and both outer axle u-joints in about 2 hours! Book time was 6 hours! I loved flat rate at that place!
