I keep reeding in sites that the dana 44 for the rear of a cherrokee is so good and so expensive.So what are they worth and are they realy that good?[2]

79.99 at pyp, and yes if you want to keep small tires and mild wheeling, otherwise, no.

the rear 44's arent any better than a scout 44 and most rear 44's its the front being worht the bucks due to the heavy 3/4 ton tubing they use here is a link to a chevy 44 and a waggie 44 tubing thickness

They are popular for guys with near-stock XJs and YJs who want more strength and an easy swap. The XJ D44 and the ford 8.8 are the only cheap wrecker axles that are the right width and 4.5" bolt pattern.
33s are the "safe" limit without upgrades for the XJ D44. You can run 35s if you don't abuse it, but it's certainly not a heavy duty axle.
