View Full Version : need to make my frame stronger?

my lift has those radius arm drop brackets, and those brackets are bent inwards, and i believe this has bent my frame inwards with the mount.

i want to beef up my frame, anyone know of a good way or someone who will do a good job for a decent price?

Richsworkshop on this board might be able to do something for you.

where are you. The first thing is to check if it is bent or not. how much lift? Almost all lifts that drop those brackets wind up bending the frame. That's the main reason for using extended arms. Did your kit come with a brace for them?

no it did not come with a brace. for the meen time, i think i am going to use a port-a-power to push them apary, measure inbetween, and go get some square tube that legnth and weld it in to stop from doing any further damage, sound good?

should work but I would box the frame in the bent sections

the frame is not visibly bent, it is just a little closer on the bottom of the brackets than it should be, but it in time(if i kept these brackets) would bend beyond repair, so i need to do something about them b efore i go wheelin next to prevent any further damage.
