Travel Restrictions in Coastal Fire Centre
Travel Restrictions are in effect.

As of midnight September 8, 2003 the backcountry travel restriction issued for Crown land and Forest Service roads in southern British Columbia has been revised. The Travel Restriction now only applies in the Chilliwack Forest District and has been lifted in the South Island and Squamish Forest Districts.

Forest Service roads accessing Crown land in the Chilliwack Forest District will remain closed to public access. The restriction order applies to all timber harvesting operations and recreation forest use on Crown land in the Chilliwack Forest District.

Forest Service roads accessing private property and commercial lodges will remain open. Private, municipal and First Nations reserve land are exempt from the order.

I scratched the surface of an exposed patch of ground at my place here in Langley and it was only damp down about 1cm.... I don't think that is enough yet..[V] Under that it was still bone dry. And this was after the rain. Now the forcast for down here is back to the warmer drier weather again. Nice and all, but not what we need right now!:(
