okay /82 chev 4x4/ 350 dual tanks...
What would make my fuel gauge go WAY past full when I switch tanks?
- ground or sender?
- how do u check
- its the right side if that matters
- Lft side works fine

Sounds like you have a shorted wire from the sender to the switch / gauge. Check the wiring under the ol' truck from the tank. Maybe it got pinched or rubbed through.[3]

I beleive the sender will settle to full when power is interrupted. Check your ground!
