I thought that was the proto for the new Scrambler?

Far cry from the original Scrambler. Gonna miss those classic lines.

I thought the production one was going to be called the BRUTE? Saw it on the sema review. Not my style but cool none the less.

I'll agree with Tuner.

And I'll throw in that it looks like an FJ45 :D
(and this way I get to post a toy pic in the beep forum)

Maybe soo.. but they are also a rubicon knock off. They are putting lockers in the front and back axles from the factory. I was at a show in vegas and saw the rig.
I think I'm going to get one, production in a year or so.

I think the scramblers (CJ8) look great lifted, and the wheelbase helps a lot at times...

need to see one of these lifted to decide if I like it or not. at the moment, I agree with rich, gay. gay. gay.

I figure one of the advatages to a jeep is the short wheelbase... why mess that up... if you want something longer... buy a yota or something. Although it's different... it does look gay. But i imagine that if jeep put enough thought into it... it would be a great 4x. At least it doesn't look to much like a H2.

I got a jeep, and it never seems to look the same.

It's the Scrambler prototype.
The Brute is a custom rig produced by AEV. they are often confused because Jeep shows the Brute at it's displays.

The Scrambler is going to be built IF they get enough contract sales. It was designed to compete for a military contract.

It's the proto of the '05 Scrambler shown at last winters NADA show in San Fran. The one in the picture has been stretched 19" more than a TJ, but the production model will be only 10" longer with a 5" overhang. They may offer a short & long wheel base, & hard or soft top versions. Box length will be 4'.
