Hi,
i've been browsing the site for a bit now, so i thought i'd come outta the wood work.

Is this it for Chev's on this page?

Anyways, i drive a 87 Jimmy S15 SAS (still not finished, but close). There's pic.'s and crap on my web site, www.4x4andrea.tk if anyones intrested.

I hope to get out wheeling in a couple of weeks. It's been a while since the truck and i have done anything fun.

That would be dudette... lol

Are there any other S-Series Trucks on this board?
Anyone ever done a SAS spring over on a D30 before? I so far haven't had much luck finding anyone with this same swap.
It would be nice to hear some words of wisdom... lol, so i can get my truck back on the road.:-P

Another die hard Chevy fan here! I used to work at a Ford Dealer as a mechanic and I was always getting hassled about driving a Chevy. I just told them that I work on Fords all day, but my Chevy always gets me back home!

Here's a few of my trucks (past and present!)

Hey Andrea , I was reading your 4x4 website , and I couldnt help but notice you had a 1 inch T-Bar lift [11] I am not a chevy guy , so I dont know , but that doesnt sound like a vehicle part (lol)

Just jokin , Welcome to the site. Hopefully we get to go wheelin with you some day. Where abouts do you live?

You can take the boy out of the country, but you cant take the country out of the boy.

Well when i was IFS i "had" crancked the T-bar a bit so i could get a little hight, and added an extera leaf in the rear. Not not a part, but a "fix", to fit my 30" tires b4.
That's all gone now.

I'm running a D30 and D35 with 33" M/T. I duno if i'm actually "running" it right yet.. lol, it hasn't left the car port.
We're hoping to have the truck moving this weekend, and driving for next. I have an S-10 Event going on that the truck HAS to be ready for... and that's only 2 weeks away! (Yikes)

I think the first thing i'm going to do with my truck once it's done, is run over the hood of the crap box car i'm driving right now.. lol.
Oh, i live in Langley (used to be from Coq.).

kootenaycat, Nice, very nice. I would like to have a Full Size older (70's maybe)Chev one day. I kinda want a pick-up (s/b), but i wouldn't mind a K5, so i can have it topless in the summer.
Is that first pic. taken @ Carpenter Lake by chance?

The '78 Shortbox (sadly sold about 4 years ago) was sitting on the beach of the Arrow Lake at Syringa Park, about 10km north of Castlegar.

Welcome to the board S15Andrea.
I'm one of the only other S10 Blazers here. Nice to finally have some company.
I checked out your site...nice. I'm hoping to do a SAS and a 350 sometime next year.
I'll be sure to keep checking out your site to see how yoursis progressing, and ultimately, how it performs.

I'm a little curious regarding your choice of axles. Since you went through all the work anyway, why go with a 30 and 35? I'm not being negative...just trying to learn all I can so that I can learn from other people who've gone before me.

I have all the answers......as long as I get to ask the questions.

I went with the D30-D35.. because it was FREE! lol.. Nothings better than free.
And if everything works out, i plan on one day (when i have the $$)to do the D44 swap.
But before that happends, i have to replace the crap box under the hood.. (ick 2putt8). That i plan on doing next year. What i want to replace it with i don't know. Of course i REALLY want a 350, but being my daily driver i need to think about the gas milage (i have a bit of a lead foot).

My truck "should" be moving this weekend (but we said that 2 weeks ago..lol). It has to be ready for Canada day long, i have an S10 bash i'm helping organize, and i'd like to take my truck there. Walking the trails just isn't as much fun.

A Jeep (yj, tj) is just not suitable for me, not enough room. Everyone owns one, and almost anyone can look "hot" driving them. ;-P
Just not for me.

My next truck will be a full size. But i've always liked the 4runner, so who knows. ;)

Ya, i'll have to learn to post pic,'s too. After next week i should have alot of Pic.'s of the truck wheelin! (SO Excited!) Mind you it probably won't be anything to difficult, since we'll be testing it.

Plan on the Rubicon next year, so that will be intresting (have to see if the truck can stay in one piece till then.. lol)

When replying to a thread (or creating a new one), just below the box where you enter the body of your message, look for a paperclip that says "insert an image file".

Make sure that your pic is sized properly for the site and that it is a JPEG. Click the paperclip and browse to the picture.

It's that easy...[36]

I'm hoping this works.
I had to try and size it down so it would fit, and i have never tryed that before.
