Soooo....

On saturday evening I finally get some tires. :D:D:D:D:D
5 used 33X12.5X15 Cooper Discoverer Radial STT. Lotsa meat on four of 'em and 1 with less for the spare.

Had them mounted and balanced this morning on the rims I bought from cjmike a while ago and figured I would head out to the Allterrainers ramp event.
However, having left the address at home and refusing to ask for directions (the proper male way to deal with such circumstances) I drove around aimlessly until I found myself on United Blvd.
From there it was obvious that I should go to Stave and play in the mud. Well, obvious to me anyway.

Needless to say I spent the next 4 hours playing in stuff that I couldn't even get close to with the old tires

and.... to top it off I got to pull not one but 2 Chevys out of the goop (sure is nice to have a brand new winch battery!!!)

The first one was a pickup that just drove straight into a sink hole without checking it out first.
No previous tracks going in or out. Not a bright idea, and no recovery gear except for a thrashed old piece of rope.

The second one was a green full size blazer. He trompped it into a mud hole and just stopped dead right in the middle of it. The engine still ran but no go in any gear!! He was in so deep had to anchor a few rigs together to get him out. I ended up towing him to the pavement. Something was really screwd as it felt like his brakes were on all the time. Real bad stuff in the xfer case most likely.

I would have had pictures but it seems that in my need to get out and show off/use my tires I left the camera with the address to the ramp event.:(:(:(:(

Yeah.. I know what you mean.

I think I'll just buy a couple of disposable cameras and keep em in the glove box for days like this.

I figured it was near but it was mid afternoon by then and I didn't know if it would still be happening.

And you know what they say "when in doubt...go wheelin"
