View Full Version : Swap 14 bolt for light duty 3/4 ton axle

I've got a 14 bolt rear end (and matching 10 bolt front end) out of a '79 GMC 4x4 I was going to put in my '86 1/2 ton. I decided I don't need the strength of the 14 bolt, so am now looking for a rear end out of a light duty 3/4 ton chevy (semi-floating with 8 bolt lugs) with 4.10 gears to match my 10 bolt front. Anyone out there interested? I'm in Castlegar, and will be in Kelowna May long weekend, so could bring it down at that time.

Why buy a rubicon when you can build a better rig with better options?

They are 4.10's, but I've decided to put them into my truck! Just put on my sled deck, and with 2 sleds on board, I will feel a lot more comfortable with a full floater! Deck & 2 Cats weigh about 1600lbs.
