What's everyone's opinion on the non-oem '81-'87 GM fenders and doors for quality, fit and price? I've got 2 Chevy's that need fenders and doors and want to shop around. Where's the best place to buy? Also, has anyone bought jobber boxsides before? The last box side(longbox) I bought was 2 years ago from a GM dealer and it was $480 then!

Well, I priced them out today and here's what I found:
OEM GM fender - $615
OEM GM door shell - $644
OEM GM 8' box side - $588
Napa (Cross Canada is the brand name he gave me)
fender - $105
door shell - $120
8' box side - $488
I was expecting OEM stuff to be a bit higher, but not that much! I will be buying jobber fenders and doors for sure, and for about $200 I can get a body shop to fix the dings in my box side!

I have put on both jobber(non oem) an factory, factorys are better, but the way the trucks fit jobbers not too bad but the factorys are pretty cheap price. Some of the jobber fenders may not have tapped holes or the holes may be missing.dont know about jobber box sides
I guess it depends on how picky u are on how the truck will look

$600 is what I was quoted, and I know the guy at the Chev dealer pretty well! The last fenders I bought were 10 years ago and they were $70 then for GM! Doors at that time were only $120! Napa assured me the jobber fenders and doors they supply fit fairly well. I'm not making it a show truck, just want it straight and rust free, so will buy the jobbers.
