Well the engine finally gave up the ghost. Can't get the revs up over 1g and it won't idle and the noise that I thought was the timming belt isn't and the crank pully is doing the death wobble. Guess I did hydro lock the engine when I put it on it's side.

So off will come the head tommorow cause I can't find any vacume leaks so.... it must be internal. Manifold vacume is down. Going to do a compression test before I tear it apart to see where the weak cylinder(s) is/are.

So add to that, someone pulled out in front of me in an intersection and I hit him(his fault.) he made my fender non repaiable. So he owes me a signal light, grill and a fender. Poor bastard.

Plus the ICBC renewal notice(ass raping in progress.)

Plus some old man in a van almost t boned us on the hwy yesterday. It would have written the car off(ours.) I hit the gass and horn, just missed him. He pulls out onto the hwy like nothing happened. I wanted to kill the sum bitch.

Rant done, continue with your day.

Sorry to hear that guy! I wouldn't have thought that the starter would have had enough power to do engine damage.

Maybe the next truck should be painted neon green?

When we bought Shauna's Tracker we thought the motor needed rebuilding cause it sounded like a rod going. When we tore it down, it looked like it had already been done. Found out there is a weekness in the key way on the end of the crank shaft in these trucks... and it is common... the slot wears and creates slop in the timing gear. Screws up the timing... Sounds just like a rod starting to knock. Just thought I'd mention it in case it helps your woes.

Thanks Joy:

That might just be one of my problems. But I think I have a bad vacume leak. Crazy J is comming down tonight and we are going to see if the compression si out. Going to put the front end apart and see if the crank srocket is indeed shot.

I will let you know how it goes.

Problem:

Key way bent and smeared its in half, crank is no longer round, key way slot is smeared out on one side, gear has large amount of over sizing. This all causes great vtec like symptoms. Not vehical is not a honda. Very bad.

Solution:

Stole gear off friends engine, stole key way, using large amounts of welding putty the problem has been solved.

*note* Gear is no longer removable. Thus acess to oil pump is no longer possible.

One more problem. Gear is in kelowna, we forgot it there.

Solution: Have beer in hand, heading to river channel to go for drunken float. May return.
