View Full Version : Jeep honcho, any good?

going to buy a j-10 levi edition 78 jeep honcho, got a 360, auto tranny and is to be used as a bush truck. any hints on what to look for or avoid? i hate auto but will it stand up to 4 wheeling?

89 pathfinder, 30" muds, fairly stock until the SAS

Auto what's wrong with it? You may enjoy it. Your only going to have 33's under it.

i beat the shit out of my ford half ton and ive never had a problem with the auto <img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>

went out and bought it, even threw in a tie rod assembly for it. ok now bugs, any help with the spring over? i unfortunately have to perform this operation on both axles... probably do most of it in the shop just need some guidance from the killing bunny <img src=wazzup.gif border=0 align=middle>

Nice rig dude , I saw you last Tues looking at it when we were blasting by to the states and then back on Sat saw it in your drveway, looks good ... hey hey hey now,,,, you didnt stop when you saw me??? <img src=bash.gif border=0 align=middle> buddy you could stop in anytime for a few<img src=beercheers.gif border=0 align=middle> but for sure let the solid axle wheeling begin!!! no more takin er easy on the rig as this is a pure bush truck. gonna have a SOA in the front soon enough hopefully with bugs's 33's on... wishful thinking. she is a solid truck mechanically but body wise has much to hope for. i gotta get the axle locks rigged up again (emergency lock) as i can see me using that button a lot. lets have fun.

When we first saw you looking at it I did not know it was you untill we drove back and saw it beside the van at the house , then I put two and two together ( van & honcho ) Did not see your old rig and figured you were not home... Did you sell it ??

of course not, still got the faithfull old pathy... good for the hayman runs i guess. yeah i had the van out there when i was doing the final deal. only thing i dont like about it so far is it seems to overheat fairly easily... then again i ran er in the dusty hills on 42c days but still i think a new rad is in order... now to find one that fits... time for another KPYP day
