Well sleeping on the ground in a tent is starting to suck.Thought I would buy a tent trailer ,dam these things are far to big to be pulling around in the bush and not built for off road use.I found buy chance this site www.outbackteardrop.com and www.cozycruiser.com I found just what I want in a trailer for camping , I think I will start building mine next month using ideas from both trailers I like the looks of the cozycruiser,so I will build mine to look like it,but I will build the frame and axle set up using the outback plans.I think I will paint it black to match my tj and use the same type of wheels and tires should look sweet.I hope to have it ready for next year.

Those look great but still on the heavy side. We use a 4x4 trailer but it is full of camping stuff. Bruce takes his canvas tent with wood stove on some trips. Very warm in winter and you can walk around in it. It's aslo is not to heavy.

Although it would look way cool behind your TJ <img src=headbanger.gif border=0 align=middle>

HI Bob,,
As Kevin noted it would be fairly heavy to pack around and pull into a lot of the four wheel spots. If you are not intending to do any serios fourwheelin ,, It would be great ! A couple things you might want to think about when building it . Most spots that you will get to ( Other then gov camp spots ) arent leval ! So if you could build it with levaling jacks on each corner it will sure make it easier to set up and have a good sleep !Also where will you pack your camp gear ? Inside on the bed? Or will you have room for stuff like your coolers and outside chairs etc on a roof rack?Take he time to plan it and you could really come out with a one of a kind trailer , something that nobody else has and somethoing fun to play with ---- GOOD LUCK --Bruce
