I have been searching in vein for a shop that can do OBD1 tuning for my GM 4.3L TBI. Has anyone got a bead on somewhere I can take this rig to get properly setup? I am probably capable of getting all the stuff together to do this myself but I'm a busy man and I'd rather not have to learn how to do this. Any leads would be helpful.[cheers]

reeceman on here or dirka dave could prolly help ya out, i know they both have scanners, im not sure if they have the obd 1 stuff but you never know,

also, google is your friend :p

try this and then just google your engine code for the obd1 system

I can get codes no trouble, I built a switch into the harness when I built the whole thing just to get fault codes on a whim. What I'm looking for is more than a scanner, I'm looking to change the programming. I'll give them a shout and see what they know. Thanks

Well u want a tuner then or someone to make a tune for u, an OBD reader won't do that

I believe I called indy-speed before but I may be mistaken. I will try them again. From what I have found online it definitely seems like an OBD1 ecu can be tuned, just nobody seems to do it anymore understandably. I am looking into other options like finding a manual ecu. I have been trying to determine the correct part number for one.

Let us know if u find anything, reese, mabey something like this, assuming he finds something, might be worthwhile on Corey's s10 to utilize that power if the RBI system falls flat on its ass lol

Better to just put a good carb on it. Get way better performance that way

Or look at fiteck

Carburetor seriously in this day and age
There is a reason I don't wheel my truck much
Spoiled with diesels and fuel injection power and fuel economy
Fiteck is nice stuff has good back up with their forum
Pretty much self tuning
And not much more than buying a glorified fuel leak
Not sure what op plans are or buget mega squirt is a buget system but you need a better understanding of tuning than say a edelbrock -Fast - Holley or fitec have a buddy runs the edelbrock efi on a bb dodge has been a dead reliable set up for him I have set the fast ezefi on a bb Chevy and a bb Ford solid stand up company they went through and checked system out after it had been sunk
I have a Holley hp going on my 5.3 ls in my chevelle
And buddy has a fitec going on a 302 Ford both will be twin turbo sleeper cars
His fi teck was less than my computer and wireing harness

This is where I'm heading. I did learn a bunch of stuff in the last little while and I have ordered the gear to program the chips. I currently have two performance chips that I thought replaced the stock Eprom. This appears to not be the case. It would seem that the performance chips work in conjunction with the stock eprom. They come on their own board that fits the stock eprom location and then the stock eprom plugs into this other board. So now I am looking for either a manual transmission eprom or the correct bin file to flash the chip i have. If anyone out there knows the broadcast code on a manual transmission ,93 s10 eprom from a 16197427 ecu that would be very helpful. anyone..?

look into Dynamic EFI. Its completely tuneable. I used it on my Blazer and to build a dual tbi set up on a abc with a 6-71 blower.

I'm not here

I can recommend a remote tuner for a custom tuner, I used this guy after Mopac and Speedshop turned me down for my supercharger tuning. All his tuning is done via email for $200

On line tuning will only get it in the ball park and running
Every engine is different and what one like another might not
