BC apparently wants you to have "Off Road" insurance
Yet I have talked and sent pictures to ICBC, to have them fault my Crawler back to being a pickup, but it isn't legal for street use.
Although they said to insure it like regular insurance ie street insurance that everyone has.. But it Does not cover the none paved roads.
Help? Maybe club insurance?

join bc hunting and fishing association . toss a fishing rod in your rig then tell them ICBC its your hunting and fishing rig . much cheaper for off road insurance then .
its called apv45 for all off road only rigs ie. dirt bike, quad, side by side, tube buggy, .....

I had this problem before the rules changed, not sure how things are now but problem I had was my jeep was not very street legal looking :D. I got a VI so I couldn't insure it anymore, tried for APV45 but because of the outstanding VI I couldn't get that either. I was screwed, so if your regi is still clean you can probably get APV45 if it still exists, or regular insurance.
But let me know what you do because one day :( I will have the same problem

Rod and gun club membership/insurance has anyone tried this?
All I understand is that the government cant "tax" this type of fun, so they send out our "Civil Servants" to ticket us however they can... lol
