View Full Version : 2002 tracker getting a V6

02-20-2016, 03:51 PM
thought I would start a build here, I have a 2002 tracker 2 dr with some mods and I have decided to swap a 2.7 V6 in place of the 2.0 4 banger going to take ,I hope no longer than 2 months. I have donor car to make this all work and have done a lot of research and I believe it will fit so changing motor tranny TC and wiring harness from both and a couple other little things that I like that the xl-7 has that my 2dr doesn't. this will be a 55 hp upgrade that I cant wait to see how she goes

http://www.troublecodes.net/pcodes/p0340/ Some good info on Diagnosing it here
And using a simple multi meter to hope it helps you as much as it did for me
Wire pinched in manifold bolt intermittent short to ground

09-01-2016, 06:40 PM

09-07-2016, 07:55 PM
What was causing it ?

09-09-2016, 08:44 AM
well bad plugs and camshaft sensor got moved in all the in and outs, then found injector plug wasn't totally plugged in.... set up throttle cable and kick down cable went for another rip and seems to scoot along pretty good
