Everyone has been evacuated and is classed as a level 4 (outta 5) for out of control.... Just had the fire department show up at our campground

100 hectares now and still growing

08-04-2015, 02:43 PM
600+ hectares and growing as of this morning. Human caused and it looks like it may be in the hale creek area. 1 km north of wood lake is pretty damn close to hale. If not then hale is further than 1km north of wood lake and that means it's part of the 600+ hectares burning.

23 k is hale. Wood is 20 k ish. Pretty close

08-04-2015, 07:12 PM
Its almost 1500 acres so and its heading north so there is a good chance Hale is affected hopefully just the road in and not down to the beach

I assume it was caused by some fucktard.

This is brutal. Buddy was camping I think on the east side and they got evacuated yesterday.

Don't think there's been any lightning in the area lately so I assume it is fucktard caused.

100% fucktards...apparently someone drove by minutes after it started..a big stump had some drink cups all around it and seemed to have started from the stump...people had pulled over to party i guess.

Sounds like a real barn burner

08-05-2015, 06:28 PM
No barns have been hurt in the making of this so far

08-05-2015, 06:39 PM
Then what are the Amish gonna do if there are no new barns to raise?

1325ha now! Jeebus. I would say Sunrise is toasty.

Apart from how this one was started, (by fucktards) lightning starts many fires like this one and its mother natures way of clearing up the brush etc
Its kinda cool to think of nature razing the hills and mountains with her hotness to make way for new life...

Hey anyone want to go lion hunting???

08-07-2015, 09:07 PM
Hope they find the fucktards that started it and give em a butt load of fines

08-07-2015, 09:54 PM
Find them and send them out to fight it! Give some of those weary firefighters a break.

That's good news

When they say the shelter at hale creek is saved, is everything around it burnt?

Lieutenant Johnson
08-11-2015, 08:24 AM
No steve..
Just some ground burn

I'm not here
08-11-2015, 05:24 PM
Fire doesn't like to spread going down hill, so just the ground fall and light brush was burnt, not hot enough to do what's called "candling" where the trees go up like candles, and then one after another.

and a good thi g too. the underbruwh is the original fire hazard. the old timers around here used to walk around with matches on horse back every spring to keep it down. then the practice was outlawed.

What do they do now? Side by side and tiger torch? ??
