anyone ever use 3 stock cases. been reading about it. gives ya.lower.low the.2.2-4.7 combo and more ratios. i already have 2 toy cases and a zuki case. been debati g the on getting another toy case. id need to lengthen wheelbase slighy but not too much. looks simple and about same price as 4.7s

would you be able to fit all the shifters in the cab haha ?

i actually think i got more room for shifters in the zuki cab than a toy cab lol

with the toy trans i can move the tranny shifter forward as far as possible modifying the dash taking out the heater so gain a bit of room there. 3rd tcase shifter might be a.bit behind the seats lol.

i think duals would be more then enough in that light little thing.. one more and you'll just be fumbling shifters all day..

duals will be okay if i swap in 4.7s in the rear case. stock tcase gears will be okay with 35s to start. but plan on going bigger once i have some money to beef up axles.

buddy rick...Bigbird.. has trippler n 5.29 gears...

wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy overkill dont bother

07-07-2015, 09:51 AM
overkill . just double it and 4.7 rear case. I liked the dual with 4.7, but not for the low low it had. I liked having regular low and then 4.7 when rock crawling. rarely did i use both. It was just to low most the time.

If you were to do it you would want to have 23 spline in the rear case for sure. even then thats alot of torque going into the rear case when in low low low. So by the time you add another t case, and 23 spline it would probably cost more.

yea i dont have.5.29s. have an eye out for some but work isnlookin dead so funds are tight.

the 5.29 and doubler with stock case gears were great with the 38.5 boggers tripple would be overkill
even the 4.1 gears a single case would be good other than to low
in some instances
I actually only used single reduction most of the time
and can't think of any instances I would have wanted lower reduction
than doubled

i just got stock 410 diff gears...
and a single case with 4.7s...

shell go anywhere i wanna go....
to be totally happy id like also 5.29 diff gears...then she be perfect!!!!

Had dual Toyota cases in my samurai with stock 2.28:1 in both, and 4:56 gears in the diffs on 35" boggers. It was a great combo. More than low enough.

alright im convinced. ill stick with the stock duals for now.

Thats good. Triples is silly. You can be geared TOO low here in BC.

Put 5.29's in the diffs to take the load off the tcases. Trying to gear the cases rather than the diffs for toytoas/zuks is a critical mistake imho. The shafts can't handle it. 4.88's or 5.29's then start working on the cases.

Im gonna have a set of 4cyl 5.29's welded 3rds coming up shortly.

you dont have the wheelbase for tripples. even doubles is pushing it. plan on linking it for more wheelbase?

when i ran the twin transmissions it was stupd low i always found my self grabbing a higher gear if i couldent make some thing

not going to be linked but i am pushing the driveline forward 2 or 3 inches rad in rear. push tthe rear back an inch or two aswell.

I run a toy dubler, 23 splines with 4.7's and 5.29's, and I don't get out of the garage :dontknow: seems to be senseless for me

07-09-2015, 01:56 PM
if your going to run that low in the transfer case do you have an auto in front of it? Less shock load and you can at least run trough the gears of the tranny so you don't run out of gear to fast. I think if your standard you will run out of gear way to fast to be useful and the second you try to shift you lose out

i was just lookin at the tripler route because i had heard that stock duels werent quite low enough with 410s was still lacking on the trail and i dont have money for 5.29s at the moment. but i gotta tear apart the parts trucks and check the gears. im assuming ithey both have factory gears.

dont you need the heater where you are 14 months out of the year?
