Hey guys anyone ever had to deal with dodge regarding there motorsdieing? my my ram just shot a rod through the block and waiting to here from them on monday would like to be prepared if theyll say anything trucks a 2009 dodge ram 1500 hemi I was driving down dewdney in maple idge and truckstarted smokeing then dies #8 piston rod blew a hole in my block any help appreciated:mad:

Pretty sure your dodge warranty is up unless you have extended but good luck getting anything from dodge.

Drop pan pull #8 rod and piston out and tape hole in block good to go

I have extended warranty jj I dont think this will be a easy fight with them though

Shitty to hear dude. Hope you have an exceptional warranty but most likely you will be buying a new motor

Apparently this is a known problem with the 5.7 hemi's in certain years. Buddy's girlfriends dad's durango just did the same thing.

Should have done what I did, went back to dodge, threw keys at them, told them to go fuck them self's and we went to the Ford dealership lol

well, had to change my motor myself it wasnt bad just sucked I had to pay:(

both rear cylinders rods snapped holes on each side of the block

took me four hours to have the motor tranny driveshafts and first start:D longest part was taking out the old motor and tranny, and i work hard at work! you just never tell me I do a good job so I'm scared:(
