I have looked at plenty of swap Threads about speedo wiring but cant seem to figure mine out as the wiring colors are different from most threads out there...

My question is , on a speedo wiring , are there any "live" wires that need to be tested for power and ground ? or is this just send a signal from the Case to the dash? or can I just connect and test , drive, and see if works?

Not the best with electrical so any help would be appreciated...

this is the link I have been following , but my 241or wires are different colors , and my 97 TJ wiring is different colors from the ones in this thread
