Got a little something in the mail today.....

anybody put one of these in a sidekick? Should beefing up transfer case mounts be considered with low gears?

tcase mounts and motor mount upgrades would probably be a good idea
or at least a torque strap from the motor to frame
my 4 runner would tear motor mounts out and rip up stock case mounts
easy when I did dual cases
and Atoyot has done all kinds of carnage broke motor mount bolts off in block
was the best one he has a single case with 4.1gears and a gutless 22r

I built alot of the all pro style rear mounts for people to fix that

yea I built mounts with spring bushings and didn't have a problem after

Had 4.24 in my sidekick years ago, wheeled it on 31 swampers with a welded rear for years never ripped a mount.

Toyota stuff on the other hand....

[cheers] ah that's just because the toyotas make more power than
those suzukis

Nice kit.

Built a few, no problems.

But beefing up the t-case mount is a good idea.

I heard that some yrs they don't fit cause the transfer case is different size ..... but never heard anything bad about them

I'm at the stage of filing the inside of the case to make room for the bigger gears right now.

I actually got them at SportTrucks, Surrey.
After I convinced them that they actually sell them.

You can't tell by the picture, but the 4.24 gears are in and working well.
And I found better rims. I'll paint them in the spring. And I put a snorkel on.
