I just had some Firestone winterforces put on a couple of the crew trucks at work, next time I need winters for the truck that's what I'm gonna go with. They're studdable and pretty beefy, tons of siping

Michele had blizzaks on her subarua when she lived up there for the one year and they were a good tire. Not studded but she had no problems

My dad had some nokian snow rated all year round tires. Nice theory, but they didn't last at all.
I think about 30k on a hyundai tucson.

In Mission you don't want snow tires in the winter.
When it snows you'll slow down way too fast compared to other traffic and end up getting rear ended.... :)

I would recommend the cooper line. Wont break the bank and performance is top notch.

This year I'm running firestone WinterForce studded, I was happy with them previously. Studded are noisier but I find a big difference on ice specifically. We run studded on all our service trucks and sales trucks. It definitely pays to get good ones though

I ran them in Edmonton for 4 winters:

Hakepelita R's on a Chevrolet Equinox for 3 winters
WRG2's on a Hyundai Tucson for 2 years (year round)
WRG2's on a GMC Yukon year round for 2 years.

The WRG2's wore really fast on the Yukon in the warmer months, so I started running a summer tire after I moved back to the lower mainland, but they never hydroplaned in heavy rains and performed well in all winter conditions. There are studdable versions of Nokians. I highly recommend this brand to anyone.

Hey shelz , you would be amazed at what winter tires are like even without studs. I had amadayas van up north . 2whell drive Chevy express and with the winter tire I put on I never had any problems. Just go with ice tires and you will be golden . Just be sure to take em off when winter is done or they toast quick. I believe the ones I had were the x- ice tire. Good luck man
