anyone out there good with electrical problems on trucks/cars.have been scratching my head with my starter issue.

starter has new points
battery new.
new battery cables( and relocated ground on frame)

does anyone have a volt meter to find out how much voltage is going to starter?

whats going on is starter clicks it may hit that right spot and fire. now if i put a jumper on battery it fires pretty much everytime.
but then i go for a good drive turn truck off and go and start it. it may fire up but 90% of time it clicks(starter)

now can anyone pass by in the near future to have a look with me? doesn't have to be this weekend as truck is not insured. just whenever someone is free. no rush.

thanks.

i am in ridge near 232 and dewdney.[cheers]
