Lookin at winch bumpers for the Ram 3500 and Im liking the Road armor. Does anyone have anything good bad to say about them?

Any other bumper I should be lookin at?

After getting the truck, camper, and trailer stuck in the sand ( long story) and soon Moose and deer hunting I need something that will save my ass.

Here is what the Road armor looks like

Not these colours

that bumper aint gonna save your ass if a moose comes through the windshield. one crossed the road infront of us earlier this week and if we had been a few seconds faster we woulda had a windshield full of moose and to add insult to injury i bet the airbags would have gone off also lol

Wow close call!!

Yeah I need a winch bumper for more of an ass saver. Unlike most people that own street trucks I’m not afraid to “use” it The two main reasons for the winch is when I’m on the loose sand beach and for winter roads and moose retrieval

I'm not a fan of the Ironcross after buying one for my work truck
ARB would be the way I would go

Looks like I’m going to have to wait for ARB (and others) to come out with a bumper for my year of truck

Kevin,

Thank you for your interest in our products. The new Ram bars have just gone into production. We hope to see the first shipments arrive at our door in October or November. Check back as we get closer. Have a great day!

If you are going ARB, buy it direct from the distributor in Tacoma and cut out the middle man.

this is a huge reason you need a winch especially in a truck the size of yours. joe average truck isn't going to be able to pull you out of a simple stuck at the best of times.

one last thing I might add is make sure you get the last ten feet of winch cable because no matter which winch I have had it always seems like its 10 feet shorter then it needs to be lol

Check out throttle down kustoms they are out of Saskatchewan
I seen one on a truck that looked nice and you could buy a front and rear for the price of a road armor front

Those are pretty nice

They have some cool stuff

Even CJ frames Happypants [15]

If I would have known about this earlier I might have bought a bare bones YJ frame (motor mounts and body mounts) :confused0006:

Trail Ready or wait on the ARB would be my suggestions. Don't even look at Iron cross bumpers for what you want. they are thinner steel than most other companies and dont fit much more than a M10000 winch. No other full body winches will fit in an iron cross.
