Hey thanks. Figured it out. Now I just gotta find a rear 3rd member with 4.88 gears in decent shape. Anyone out there have one?

According to the code on inside of door its 4.88 gears. I was told by a buddy yesturday that its rare to have these gears come with the vehicle. Is that true?

It's rare-ish

U can only replace toyota factory 4.88's with other toyota factory 4.88's. If u get aftermarket r&p u will need a third that had 4.56 or higher to put them in

yep 4.88s make swapping gears a bit more difficult

auto v6 runner is the most common place to find em. Belive the ring gear is a different thickness, making gear swaps with a 4.88 carier a bastard.

should be easyish to find one from the wankers on here

Any other ratio v6 3 rd will work. Does not need to be 456 or higher like mentioned earlier.
