So just waiting for my ARB locker for my 8.8 to arrive this week...wondering about using my OBA with the locker instead of buying the Kit......I know it can be done..

Had anyone done this or currently using this setup ...Any input on install and functionality would be appreciated thanks [cheers]

I think you just need a pressure regulator, solenoid and switch. Not sure how much pressure is required for the ARB. I know my Viair runs up to 150 lbs. that is too much for most tools.

thats what I thought Apathy ...obviously my 160psi is too much ...i think they require 3-8psi ...will need to verify...

was thinking i would need a OBA switch in the cab now ( to fill up tank every so often) and a switch for locker....also need a t- connector with pressure regulator to dummy down the PSI

thanks for the reply Apathy

I use my oba for my arb.

Regulate down to 50 psi. I believe.

I d have to check to be sure.

Regulator, pop off valve, cut in/ out pressure switch.
Electric over air solinoid.
Kms tools has all you need.

you would think so, but ARB doesn't use them.
They don't take any air volume, just a touch and pressure.

I don't even run a regulator to the ARB. Just plumb the ARB solenoid into your tank or dist block and go. The shut of switch for your OBA should be about 120 to 140 psi and that is no where near to much pressure for seals on an ARB set up. As far as a dryer and what not . . . what do you think is inside your diff . . . Hmmm . . . Oil :dontknow: :D
