I've been looking for a good comealong ( and still cant find one) but hell this looks sweet for the price.
Hope it's not against rules to post a link. if so my apologies to the mod's.

1 big question being new to the off road world. Would I need a new bumper to hook this up to?
And is this winch worth the moula?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks King.
Is there a come-a-long that is good enough out there, I don't mind putting some elbow grease into it, (and I'm a cheep SOB) most I see are only 2 tonn's and that's just not enough.

You can get a warn 8000 from lordco for the same price as that superwinch from princess auto.

The big problem with a come along of any size
Is if shit goes bad break a cable hook etc
You are standing right were its going to go
Look at a jack all instead of a come along a lot more versitile
Same problem when things go wrong though

Hi Lift xtreem it is then. along with flak jacket and head gear.
Am i correct to assume that I would need a new front bumper if i was to get a winch.
Thanks for the patience and I apologise for being a total newb, but trying to search for stuff in such a large data base is pointless. Figured I'd just ask away.

I got a winch on my pig an never looked back. Come along is a lot of work, jackall rocks! I've used my 60" jackall I got from princess auto as a come along and it worked great!

Ah u know what, my brother in law gave me that exact winch, I've used it, it's just like all the other winches, and at that price, why the fuck not, use it till it explodes and get another, I've got no complaints about it, give it a whirl,

If you have tow hooks no a come along will work with them if you get a winch either new winch bumper or reciever mount seems the reciever mounts are getting more popular as you can use the winch front or rear

its one of those things, cheap out and by the one that will probably get you by.. but let you down when you need it the most.... or spend a few bucks more, get a warn and don't worry about it.

Get what you can but aim to get a warn in the future

And yes you will need a new bumper for a winch
And if that runner still has a stock bumper on It it soon will need one anyway

Trail gear bumpers are pretty cheap and if u can't fab or are cheap their a good option for a winch-mount tube bumper on a toy. Save money buy a winch. Warn is what has the reputation. I've heArd good things about Ramsey and mile marker as well. Unless I knew the rigging and the tow points were really fucking secure I wouldn't jack all or come along my truck fuck that lol

I agree unless its a warn upright it is same as as brand X..

Having the letters WARN does not turn a winch into anything more then what it is.

if you want a decent warrenty buy from cosctco

Mile marker winches are pretty good , and for the warn winches it's the solinoids that go and if you replace them with stock ford ones they last forever [cheers]

Winch is the best but comealongs are fine if you know a bit about rigging. I used to run a tirfor jack. Could still use a snatch block that way. I would get a winch first but a ja kall and a tirfor are a good adiitio to your recovery box.
