Hoe had a small t case output seal leak at the rear before i lifted it.

I put a new seal and boot on when i did the lift and still leaks.

Just noticed today my trans fluid is about a liter and a half low.

What kind of seal is between my 241 t case and 4l60 transmission?

Is there a possibility its leaking into my t case and causing it overfill

And if the t case is overfull will it leak from the output?

Fixed or Slip Yoke?
Did u install it properly by lubing it up or slam it in dry?

Slip yoke

Just noticed its low today.. The only wet spot under the truck is right below the tail housing.

And um ya i did it dry... Cut a matching diameter chunk of tube and used it as a guid when i mashed it on

Give it some lube next time might have damaged the seal when it first turned because there wasn't any lube allowing it to leak. Transmission might be low due to temperature outside since hydraulic fluid does expand and contract depending on temperature. Other thing is to clean the yoke surface so u have a smooth clean surface for the seal to mate with. Check the level of ur t-case. If it does pour out then that seal which I am pretty sure is very similar to the one on the tail shaft might be leaking. It may even be lower then the level due to temperature.

the seal was pressed in dry but i made him lube the lips befor the shaft went in

is it leaking from the shaft or from the seal to trans joint ?
