Seriously, you're openly posting about having a fire while there was a fire ban on? You guys rock!

I bet you'd be the very first ones to complain too when they shut the back roads down in the summer due to people not following the fire bans [freak]

But I guess the "everyone else is doing it so that makes it OK" rule applies[16]

the circumstances were safe to have a fire. rocky beach, 5 gal bucket of water, a shovel , the lake was 20 feet from the pit. no overhanging trees or brush nearby

I'm not sure what backroads you go on in the summer but I've never seen a summer closure on an fsr and I'm certainly not a complainer. I also do my part when I go out camping or for the day in the bush and tidy up any garbage or empties. So don't stereotype me into a 'everyone else does it so I can too' group. Maybe you should shut your clown ass mouth before you start blabbering about things you don't know:dontknow:

yeah this was 6 months ago.... but now that you've pipped up about it and openly admitted having a fire on a fire ban, ill throw my two cents in. As far as the circumstances were safe to have a fire, thats pretty much b.s, theres so much dead fall and brush on that beach, if you fart big enough you would have lit it up. its all the sparks from the fire flying everywhere that lights things on fire. And im sure the jerry can of fuel you were dumping on it probably didnt help things either. a shovel and water are great things to have around a fire, but when its tinder dry they arnt going to do jack shit. We have been pretty lucky on the lower mainland with having no back road fsr's closed, but its ppl with your attitude and the unwillingness to not read the sign posted on every damn bridge and fork in the road saying no fires, fire ban in affect, that will eventually ruin camping and backroad fsr's for everyone in the summer months....and you know the thing called a forest fire, kinda why the ban is there in the first place. Im sure this summer will be even worse for being hot and dry. It would be a shame if some dumbass burnt it down[cheers]

There have been years in the past where they shut down the back roads completely.

Do you think that any careless camper who has ever started a forest fire, thought to themselves before lighting the fire "hey this is a bad idea, and I'm probably going to burn down the forest"
No.......
When stuff like that happens, people go "Gee I dunno, I thought it was safe and it looked OK to me"

So if I drive drunk, but not like totally hammered, and it's late so there's not many cars on the road, and I know my vehicle really well, is that alright?

I've made many fires in the woods, and definitely know how to do so safely. I could make a safe fire, in some seriously dry conditions, but rules are rules, put in place for a reason. Also, people are inherently dumb, and when they see you doing it, they often feel like it's OK for them to do it, and that can be a bad thing.

When did my clown ass mouth blab about anything I didn't know? I was only referring to what you posted, I said nothing about you littering or anything else:dontknow:

I award you 2 gold stars. One for having a fire during a ban, and one for posting about it on an open forum :fighting0071:
