Didn't post any pics from this summer so here's some randoms.

First ride of the year up Cayuse creek, didn't make it too far before running into snow

Next outing was to find a little lake called Faith lake. Didn't see any fish jumping but you never know until you drop a line

Went over to Greenwood area to explore around the old Pheonix area. Found some old mines to explore and an old townsite with several cool old log cabins

We had seen pictures of Iron Ridge near Creston so finally made time to go and ride it. Turned out to be about 15km trail that for the most part follows along the top of a ridge

Heard lots of the Hedley area and made out way over there in July, met up with a bunch of guys for some underground touring.

Did our annual boys camping/quadding trip in the East Kootenay, found some awesome trails but the rain from last spring beat the hell out of everything. Few of the trails were more like dry creek beds but we are always up for a challenge :D

The wife has wanted to see Trout lake for a while now so we loaded up the trailer and quads and spent a few days relaxing on the beach with drinks and got her up to the top of a few mountains.

Growing up, my Dad had told me a story of a mine by Kootenay lake. It was 1979 when he had been to it, and when they closed it down they just walked away from it leaving equipment and buildings there, even had the bottles of ketchup still sitting on the tables and clothes hanging in the changerooms. Packrats had got into the boxes and dragged out dozens of blasting caps and scattered them outside! Well we were a bit dissapointed to see that it had been cleaned up about 10 years later but still found a couple of adits to explore and found an old ore cart dumped down the tailings pile. Back at the trucks we followed a quad trail that took us to a water intake system that was piped into an old mine. Pretty sure it's a reservoir used for homes north of Ainsworth.

Awesome pics! I'd love to get my dad out to Phoenix and that area, he's an old mine nut.

Hedley is so cool, I could spend a lot of time wandering around there. Thanks for sharing! [cheers]
