6.4s in general are poo on fuel. Get rid of all the emissions garbage if it hasnt been done. Might as well start the cummins swap now. Nice lookin truck though.

I traded the whale truck in on the new 08 F-450 dually but I also seemed to have landed up with another Superduty worktruck.(blue one in picture)

Last count I have 9 Ford pickups................I need to get rid of a few.

I just figured it out again Im getting 7.5 miles per gallon
That can't be right

11-17-2013, 05:49 PM
That can't be right

Unless my math sucks........................
It took 87 litres to go 271 kms.

Diesel is $133.9 litre

11-17-2013, 05:54 PM
That may be correct in that the emission on that truck are sucking the fuel

11-17-2013, 05:54 PM
Yea that don't seem right

So I took truck to a shop for the DPF delete and its turned into a nightmare!

Truck wouldnt start so I phoned SCT tech support and found out the shop put the wrong tuner in it.
So the shop says no problem we will put it back to stock until proper tuner gets here.

They didn't put the sensors back in the delete pipe so it wouldn't start for 3 days until they figured that out.
They wrecked the old sensors trying to get them out of the DPF pipe so I had to go to Ford and buy 3 new ones for $95 bucks each.

So they finally get it going on Friday and tell me its OK to drive , I get half way home and it start blowing large quantitys of blue smoke and the Check Engine Light is on.

Needless to say Im pissed and don't know what to do about it.

Plus to top it off the bill was $300 more than I was quoted.

hmmmm. Shitty situation, sounds like it was going into regen mode without the dpf there. Doesn't really sound like the shop knows what they're doing with this kind of stuff. You can't just run a straight pipe with a factory tune 'until the proper tuner gets there'. The truck still thinks the dpf is there.

Shitty deal man, sounds like what 96 z71 said, guess it wouldn't be worth taking the truck somewhere else to get it fixed? But that's bullshit that there making u pay for their fuck up

Hopefully u get it figured out,

12-15-2013, 10:47 PM
sounds like they should be buying you new sensors

12-16-2013, 08:20 PM
I hope u kept the original DPF filter

12-16-2013, 10:41 PM
Shitty deal about the truck yea that fuel mil is off should get 850-900 km a tank from my exp.
