View Full Version : It started in the 70's

I was just looking though the 'Old Wheeling Pics' an old post in the events debriefing section - they are amazing and pulling out the old albums I would like to share with you some of Taz and my memories, not just on 4x4 but anything Fun in BC back then.....

What do you say to a brand newboyfriend when he says that his 19th birthday present was a parachute lesson from his mom and dad? Well...heck lets go watch [36]

My dad bought me a Honda Civic(after trying to teach me to drive his 3/4 truck and got nervous when I did not turn that quickly narrowly missing a pole in the parking lot). Taz and I head off for some adventures testing out how a Honda makes it on the back roads.

One reason why Taz usually stays clear of mud and water:

The first street bike Taz built came in a box. Assembled in his bachelor suite and ridden down the stairs it was a classic. A Honda 500-4 with coffin tank, brass struts and a vinegar bottle filled with gas for his reserve tank. We had such a blast on that albeit my butt would have preferred a softer ride..

Anyone remember the old Snowmobiles? This Frankenstein monster went where we wanted to go. Taz won a mickey of Southern comfort on a Blueberry Snowmobile event.

Camping was always a treat and we always looked forward to. Just being in the great outdoors makes any trip special. Getting to Fish Lake in the Chilcotin involved driving through mud slippery than snot but well worth the trip.

I hope you all enjoy[cheers]

You can get into trouble with those words [4]

You're only as old as your mind is lol [cheers]

Nice pics. I must have owned a half dozen of those little civics, they were a couple hundred bucks a pop at the surrey auto auction in my day.

if you ever see one of those civics around, please let me know (and not for the price that a lot of people are asking for them). My bro had an 82 with an 84 accord motor in it, thing hauled the mail. Cut springs (thanks Stinky![36] ).

Thanks for the pics! Looks fun!

Those are some great old pics! But I'll take the new technology any day especially when it comes to sleds and bikes! :D

But those were the new technology then no computer to strand you and a few simple tools to make them run again when they quit
