View Full Version : Rad goes boom

Lots of jeep issues. ...broken motor mount, cracked trany mount, plugged exhaust, and rear drive shaft .

Made it to eagle.. had to stop for a Chevy with problems near the gatekeeper. Shut it down and BOOM the rad blows. Jeep lost in a mushroom cloud of steam. Turns out the electric fan controller failed and she overheated when we shut it down. Used Bruce water bottles for a little water and drove down to the Petrocan. Filled it up and drove home... the temp never went over 100.

Well she is off the road for repairs.. Rad, exhaust, new transfercase and drive shafts.

Its the time of year when s*** gets hot. My control module went and took out my full aluminum rad just a few weeks ago as well.
