I wouldnt call it a "offroad adventure by any means but I went camping and took the "great white moose" up to the old mines on the logging road with a few people in the back didnt really take any picture on the way up because its just logging road and only a few 1 foot deep by 1.5 foot long cross ditches there was one on the edge of the property im suprsied I didnt drag my bumper but i made it lol

just leaving camp

at the front of the mine at the main building

nice welcoming sign

top of the hill by the collapsed mine entrance

the entrance/inside
redneck'in it with the oldschool fallers pants the old lady wasnt too impresed with my "outfit" lol thankfully I didnt have to see how well the pants work

and I got a boo boo guys [j]
there was alot more blod on the truck then that thats just what was visable when I got to camp I was checking the chain adjustment and my finger slipped the the chisel part of the chain went 100% into my finger tip and boy did it bleed lol there was so much blood at first I thought I lost the tip of my finger the blood got on the truck because I was fumbling trying to find my ductape so I could wrap a napkin around it then ductape it on, I had to wrap it twice because the first one wasnt tight enough and it bled through lol funny because it isnt a big cut just deep lol cant quite seem to be able to push that bit of skin back in place

all in all a good little trip for a 2WD :D

The faller pants won't protect your fingers lol

I was with my buddy and I just put all my safety gear on when I cut my finger and right away I looked at him and told him all the protective gear in the world cant protect you from yourself

I didn't want to push my luck I had recovery gear but I'm still just 1 vehicle with 2WD, are the roads to the rest of the mines decent? and how many more mine sites are there?

There's 3 enterances that you can get into I believe. Can't remember for sure... it's been so long since I've been there. They're all connected except the middle one only goes a short distance in and then is just a huge air shaft. I've spent 8 hours one day climbing through every passage I could find in that mine. There's some pretty crazy caverns in there that they dug out. Only a couple places in there I didn't go because the ladders were too rotten.
I used to have a few photo albums online of it... but it looks like the site I used is no more.

always a good trip. i got the same problem as nick, always too much snow. how was the trip down the hill with no low range?

just put it in first and hit the breaks once I got down to near the highway I let the brakes cool down because I started to smell them it was about 5 or so minuets before it was cool enough to keep going could have kept going when I hit the bottem but better safe than sorry
