So I ripped out my old tanks on my f250 cuz it wouldn't start, turns out the lines were rotten and broken off right @ the sending unit plate, went to Lordco, they don't have a listing for the sending units anymore...sooo that being said, anyone know if I can run a powerstroke sending unit in my IDI? Like if I was to get 2 sending units from a 95 powerstroke, they might be the same sending units? Or does anyone know where I can get a rebuild kit? Or someone who rebuilds them in the lower mainland?

You try any where else? or looked at rockauto to see if u can find a brand that still makes them and find a local dealer?

K got it figured out, 1994 f250 7.5L uses same tanks and sending unit hangers, which is what I need, not the auctual sending unit itself, found the part number on rockauto, Lordco deals with same suppliers so yay!!

The rubber pick up at the bottom of that sender in notorious for falling off and leaving you empty at a quarter tank quick fix is hose clamp like I did on mine or hose clamp and fuel line with a v cut into the bottom to make sure it doesn't get stuck to the bottom of the tank ...if u add the fuel line that might help with your length issues

I'm gonna see about cutting a Peice of the old sending unit hard line and extending the new ones a little bit, that should work, and I'll do the v notch in the end of the hose like u mentioned as well,
Thanks

arggg, im gonna see if I can find someone to solder or braze the lines on the sending units, the new ones are just too short, fuck sakes... mabey use the new tops and cut the lines on the old sending units and solder them to the new sending units or something I dunno,

I know a guy that can solder, are they steel?

Maybe a little silver solder would do the trick

They didn't work, the units have a different ohm rating then the original ones so it's a no go, I brought them back to Lordco tonight, I gonna have to Goto a Junkers I think,
