Thats how long my jeep has lasted me till a failure. Five months of thrashing [36] Its now runnin on five cylinders after a major overheat. Stupid gauge didnt budge from normal. Right before maylong to boot!
So I'm hoping its a cooked plug but if its a fucked head anyone got one. Its a 99' 4.0l

They r simple to do, pull the exhaust and intake manifolds of with the head, way easier, little heavier but a lot easier,

Yes I do Bruce. Thats too much motor for a daily driven jeep. Also to much motor for stock axles and 35's. I'll be pullin the head this weekend and seein whats up.

No need for new head but needed .008" to be milled off and a couple valves reground. Sure am glad I gots me that machinists straight edge what good are feeler gauges without one! Header had a couple small cracks too. Should be back on the trails by weeks end!

No point in pressure testing if doing the valves. Thats what pressure testing checks for valve leaks. But machined jet washed mag'd for cracks
