Got a sunny day of sledding in last weekend. Still 12-15' of snow above 7000' so we should be riding in June again this year :D

The good thing is we get to go back this Saturday, the bad is it's to rescue my buddies sled that dropped a cylinder and couldn't climb out of a bowl we dropped into that morning :( If we can't fix it then it's 6 guys and 200' of rope pulling it to the ridge!

Just incredible pictures!! Too bad we don’t have anything like that closer down here. Sucks that people have to die every year sledding. Do you test the snow in each area you sled?

It's been a good year as far as avy deaths, been some really bad seasons for sure but snowpack had good stability throughout the winter. We don't normally do a dig but listen to the CAA bulletins and hit the trees or meadows when the danger goes up.

Went back today and rescued my buddies sled, 200' of rope and 2 snatchblocks with 4 guys pulling and 1 guy on the throttle. Didn't have enough power to climb out on it's own but with all of us pulling it finally got over the ridge!

I`ve ridden up from Ladybird, lots of climbs, airport is fun too. My contacts from around there have dried up for this year, hoping for next season.
